Looking Back on 2025: A Year of Growth, Team Spirit, and Dedication

As 2025 comes to a close, we find ourselves reflecting with pride and gratitude on a year that truly shaped the future of Equide. Over the past twelve months, our practice has not only grown in size, but also in expertise, collaboration, and connection with the horses and clients we care for every day.

A Stronger Team, A Shared Vision

This year marked the first full year with our no-longer-so-new veterinarian, Helene. Watching her journey throughout 2025 has been nothing short of inspiring. Helene has continued to develop not only as a clinician, but also in the strong, trusting relationships she builds with both clients and their horses. While she is fully trained in routine equine dental treatments, Helene’s passion clearly lies in advanced equine dentistry. Throughout the year, she has invested heavily in further education, following specialized courses in oroscopic examinations, sinoscopy, equine dental surgery, and other advanced techniques. This ongoing commitment allows us to offer increasingly thorough, modern, and precise dental care—always with the horse’s comfort and long-term health as the priority.

New Faces, New Energy

2025 also brought wonderful new energy to the team with the arrival of Minke, our new assistant. From day one, she brought light, warmth, and enthusiasm into the practice. Her positive spark is contagious—lifting spirits on even the busiest days—and her natural empathy makes her exactly the kind of caring assistant every veterinary team (and every client) hopes for. At the same time, as Wouter’s longest-standing assistant set off to explore new horizons, we welcomed Charlotte into the Equide family. Charlotte quickly became an essential part of our daily rhythm. As our multi-talented administrative assistant, she brings structure, dynamism, and clarity behind the scenes. She is now the friendly voice you hear on the phone and the welcoming face you meet at the reception desk, ensuring everything runs smoothly from the moment you arrive.

A Practice That Grew Into Its Space

When our facilities were first established, they sometimes felt larger than necessary. Today, they are alive with activity. Our 2 treating rooms and all four hospitalisation boxes are fully in use, along with three turnout fields, reflecting both the growth of our practice and the trust our clients place in us. Seeing our space used to its full potential is a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we step into 2026, our goals remain clear and deeply rooted in our values. We aim to:

  • Remain a strong, supportive, and motivated team
  • Stay at the forefront of equine dentistry through continuous education of our whole team
  • Take pride in the quality and precision of our work
  • Nurture the close relationships we have with our clients
  • Continue honoring our deep love and respect for all equids

Thank you to everyone—clients, colleagues, and horses alike—who made 2025 such a meaningful year. We look forward to continuing this journey together in 2026. ✨
