Discussion day between professionnal equine veterinarians with a specific interest in bit-fitting in the equestrian world as well as equine welfare.

This event is supported by the Nordic College of Equine Dentistry

Registration fee (entrance to event, coffee, snacks & lunch included):

Goal: structured internal discussion and working session with clear objectives:

Get a consensus: Recognize the problematic, gather informations received from studies and analyze their limitations, give sustainable references to participants.

Elaborate a future plan of action: 

Bottom up: Purchase exams, promotion folders for vets, for clients, create a pool of speakers, ...

Top down: Politics, federations, plan to be defined.

This event will be an oportunity to present past and new findings and to discuss about what is sustainable for the future of equestrians sports/leisures regarding to equine welfare : Understanding Differences in Bit-Fitting Across Nations & Disciplines, Developing a Comprehensive Reference List, Establish clear and standardized principles for bit-fitting practices.

We aim to develop bit-fitting from both a bottom-up (education) and top-down (politics & lobbying) perspective.
