First edition of an equine endoscopy course (oral, nasal, sinus)
Last Friday, Storz Belgium, Equide and Vetrident co-organised the first edition of a course dedicated to oral, nasal and sinus endoscopy for a group of equine veterinarians.
The aim of this day was simple: to offer a practical and accessible training allowing an improvement in the diagnosis of oral, nasal and sinus conditions in horses, while strengthening the collaboration between specialists and referring veterinarians, who can therefore become aware of the current non-invasive diagnostic possibilities for horses.
We would like to thank Zoetis, whose support contributed to the success of this event.
A day focused on innovation and practice in equine dentistry
The course alternated between presentations, demonstrations and a practical component.
The participants were able to discover different approaches to oroscopy (open-mouth and closed-mouth) and to naso-sinoscopy, with demonstrations performed on a live horse and a practical session supervised by our teams.
This training enabled the veterinarians to familiarise themselves with the endoscopic equipment, to exchange on their clinical experiences and to deepen their diagnostic approach. They were thus able to discover new diagnostic and treatment techniques that are particularly appreciated for their non-invasive nature, an aspect that Equide holds dear!
A collaboration to be continued between Storz and Equide
This first edition perfectly illustrates the importance of creating learning moments between colleagues and technical partners.
The positive dynamic between Storz Belgium, Equide, Vetrident and the Flemish referring veterinarians already encourages the development of other initiatives.
We are therefore pleased to announce that a second edition will take place in 2026, this time organised at Vetrident.
Thank you to all participants
A big thank you to the veterinarians present, as well as to our partners, for their commitment and enthusiasm.
We look forward to continuing this wonderful collaboration and to offering even more training sessions dedicated to equine medicine, equine dentistry and maxillofacial surgery.
