The veterinary practice Equide will be happy to welcome you and your horse in its state-of-the-art clinic located in Schaffen (Diest). Here we can offer you the widest range of services in the best possible setting.
The clinic was built especially for equine dental treatments and is the place where you and your horse will feel most comfortable.
The practice is furnished with all the necessary equipment to treat your horse, and our installations are at the cutting edge of technology.
Stables are also available for before/after treatment or for possible hospitalization.
We are also equipped with a custom-designed treatment box for the smallest of your ponies.
Charlotte Vertessen
Administrative assistant
Charlotte is our secretary / receptionist / administrative assistant.
She takes care of all the administrative tasks of the clinic and is also in charge of scheduling appointments.
She is the smile that welcomes you every morning at the front desk!
Wouter Demey
Vétérinaire
Wouter Demey graduated as a veterinarian from the University of Ghent in 2008. He interned at the equine clinic De Morette in Asse and worked as an equine veterinarian in the Netherlands from 2010 to 2015. For over 10 years, he has focused solely on equine dentistry, attending numerous training courses worldwide. He also teaches dentistry and is a member of various professional organizations, including serving as a board member of the Nordic College of Equine Dentistry (NCED).
Hélène Vandionant
Veterinary
Hélène is the latest addition to our team. A recent graduate, Hélène has long known her passion for equine dentistry and has already completed several externships at Equide and attended multiple courses and conferences with Wouter.
She takes care of some on-site appointments and check-ups at the clinic.
Alyssa Edom
Vet assistant
Alyssa has been working at Equide since 2020, after several years in equine surgery at another clinic. She mainly assists Wouter in second- and third-line procedures and handles all public relations for the practice.
Renee Van Houdt
Vet assistant
Renée has been working at Equide since late 2023 and is a multi-talented assistant. She supports our veterinarians, handles client communication, and is in charge of equipment within the clinic.
Minke Bosch
Vet assistant
Minke joined our team to support the growing demand following the arrival of our vet Hélène. With several years of experience in a small animal clinic and a lifelong passion for horses, she brings both skill and heart to her role. At Equide, she is in charge of the well-being of our hospitalized patients and is known for her strong team spirit and contagious positive energy.
