He or she can also for sure develop a malocclusion (front or back hooks for example), can also for sure get caries or break a tooth, can also have difficulties to shed at a young age or have a loose tooth when getting old, can also have sharp enamel points damaging his/her cheeks, or even develop a dental related sinusitis...

Tooth extraction in horses in 2021
Molar extractions 20 years ago were done almost exclusively under general anesthesia and via an (external) surgical approach. In 2021, this is still only necessary in very exceptional cases. As a result, the risk of complications has been drastically decreased (Caramello et al. 2020).
